College- Day One

Well I started Sixth Form today (H)...

And we had this day of like, "Team Building Exercises"...which were were a bit weird... :D

Irrigation (3 stars)
Using 5 shortish pieces of guttering, get water from point A to B..to rise a floatation device, and then hook it out and then you're done.
Quite a good task, but takes A LOT of concentration on both the water, and your team mates running round to continue the trail of water. :)

Group Skip (5 stars)
Really good task in which 2 people span a skipping rope, and 7 people had to skip in the middle. Sounds simple? Yeah it was. But not when you have people who can't skip. :P Definitely my favorite of the day :)

Keypad (4 stars)
Tough task which requires quite a lot of mental thought. 9 people stand around a rope ring which contains 30 numbers (1-30) randomly placed. The team has to step on each number in order, but only with having one person in the ring at a time. All to be done in 40 seconds. Sounds easy. It's actually quite tough. Especially when you have annoying people in your group who feel the need to complain when, to save time and complete the task in under 40 seconds, don't have much or anything to do. Therefore wasting time. Grr. Overall it was good though (:

Breakfast Puzzle (5 stars)
Very complicated puzzle in which you are given 14 statements about doors, places, foods and drinks, and then you have to figure out which fits with which, to then find the gaps, to see who ordered the bread rolls and something else. Complicated, but do able. But not when you have the same annoying person who is a lazy friggin' arse who just decided to look at the answers and cheat, therefore ruining the whole thing. More grr! Good fun though :D

So that's my day one :) It was a bit crap to be honest.
I'm looking forwards to the rest of this week and next week, where hopefully I'll get to talk to some new people :D

This is fairly BBC based...

Hey readers!

It's been over 2 months since I updated this blog. I feel so ashamed :P
So I have a few things I found amusing on the internet...so here goes :)

First of all...BBC news...I'm sorry..but you can't have a headline like this.
Morris tells Balls to reform Sats
Absolutely hilarious :D The idea of someone telling their balls to reform SATs is just plain funny :P

Next funny thing. Again BBC...but The Chris Moyles show on BBC Radio 1 weekday mornings. Dom has done the best, most BORING video ever, and I urge you to watch it to try and make it one of the most watched, boring videos ever :D [Url: Dom's Boring Video]

Another amusing thing I found on the internet...Mr Potato Head!

Here are two of my genious creations!

So I have finished my GCSEs...and have already had 4 weeks of summer. It has been one of the best summers ever. Roll on the next 6 weeks :D I get my results in under a month (21st Aug) so that should be good I hope :P I'm keeping optimistic!

I have also had this influx of usage on Last.fm so head on down there and check out my profile.

I'm gonna close this blog here...and try to remember to update this again soon. Laters readers!

Hey folks :|

I am feeling very depressed right now. So this wont be a positive blog I can guarantee. But hopefully it'll cheer me up.

Well today has been pretty good. Lots of positive things happened, but somehow I'm just depressed now :| I will explain how today came to be such a good day, and kinda why I am no longer *YAY* anymore.

Assembly this morning, well basically, last week, in school, we had this meeting with like, big high up guy, and I suggested we should have a "Top 10 Merit Earners" for each month. Sounds childish I know, but we are trying to get generally thick 16 year old kids motivated here, we thought it could work. So in assembly, for starters I won an easter egg [yes, a bit late aint it?], for some maths competition I entered the other month, I won silver ^^. And then rolls along the Merit earners thing I had suggested. Well, guess who was top of the lads...yeah..me. I was happy at the time, like, wow...wasn't expecting that. So anyway, I got Maltesers, how nice for me.

Then the rest of the day was preeeetty samey. Then at the end of the day, I had to stay behind to finish my art coursework. That got sorted, and according to my teacher, is "Fantastic!", which I was quite happy about finishing :D. Then I went to geography, and picked up my coursework. That is nearly finished now, and according to my teacher, seeing as she had never seen it in a full complete state till today, it was "Bloody Good!", which again, I was happy about! Then I went to electronics, which is all failing. I have some working stuff, but unfortunately, I only have 2 hours basically to finish everything, that wont happen. And then I came out of school 2 hours after the final bell for the fourth time this week. MEH!

Walked home, and for some reason I just became all depressed :(
I feel like I'm missing something, and I think I figured it. I feel as if no one is there for me. Just for me to go to, and talk to and give huge hugs to and stuff. A feel good person. So now I'm all sad and meh :|

But oh well, I will get through it I hope.
Anyway, looking forward to Monday, after my 2 hours of work in school, I go off to Barcelona! Yaaay! And actually, before Monday, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Hopefully, I will be getting my new phone ^.^ which will be reeeeet good :)

But thats then, and this is now.
So cheer me up if you can. If you wanna chat to me on msn, check the list after about it, where you will also find myspace and facebook.

Hug me :| Byee!

Lets all have Tea in London!

Hii :)

Well...update friday never really happened...so sorry about that.
Here's an update I promised you anyway. Got in this morning at around 2am...which was 3am with British Summer Time, and I got up at 7, therefore I got 4 hours sleep. Hurray =]!

Anyway, it was good fun, the Earls Court Exhibition centre was where I was, at the I
deal Home Show. It wasn't bad, a few free things, messed
with the Sennheiser stand, there weren't many good headphones there to be honest. :S

And after that, I managed to get to the Apple Store on Regents Street! Woo! I love it there. The super-flag outside the front there.

And the MASSIVE Apple in the window.

They also had a massive iPo
d Nano in the window, but I forgot to take a photo of that ^^. It was raining and I just wanted to go inside :).

So we wandered around a bit, I checked out the MacBoo
k Air's. DAMN they're thin, but the one I was one, the internet had broke...wow..salesmanship or what? I picked up a Mini-DVI -> VGA Cable for an external display, cause eventually I am gonna get an Apple Display. Yay :]. We got an FM transmi
tter thing for the car, and a nifty little piece of kit, which enables my iPod Shuffle to be connected to the regular dock, so you can play music off it. Handy seeing as we have about 3 docks around the house wired into full speaker systems. :D

And then I looked over the AWESOME glass stairs, so see this baby. Nice iCone Apple. I thought it added to the general effect
of the store, don't you?

So after the Apple Store, we popped over the road to the Nokia Store. Bit overpriced, but I only wanted to go in to check out the phone I want to get, which is the Nokia 6500 Slide. So check that out, I want it for Flickr mainly, and I'm hoping I'll be able to update my blog from it easily :D

So then we ate and headed home. A few fun things in the Tube Station(s).
Walking briskly down the tunnel, hence the blurryness, I saw this designated Busking Area. I lolled.

And also, "DO NOT VISIT THIS BLOG UNLESS YOU ARE BEHIND THE YELLOW LINE

So that was London, I enjoyed it, want to go again, maybe in Summer with some friends. That would be awesome!

Away from London, I'm coming up to the easter holiday in school. But before that, I have another 5 hours of my 10 hour graphic art exam, a 45 minute english exam on a text I need to remember nearly fully. And some real close coursework deadlines. So it'll be a busy 5 days for me I think.

I'll leave you with my favourite photo I took on the day of London. And speak to you all sometime during the week I hope.

Check out my Flickr for the rest of the photos. See ya soon kids!

Quick One

Hey, just to let you know,

The show ran fine on my own, and I got through it without any problems ^^
So thats 74 cues left till the end of the run.
I think I might miss the show after tomorrow.

Bye!

Blood Brothers

Howdy Dudey.
Yeah, I been saying that all day, in a funny accent, like Sawyer of Lost.
Don't you just love Lost? I am addicted. I have a few episodes to watch before I have caught up with the TV broadcasts here, so I must remember to do that.
I thought I'd add another blog post here anyway, I feel like it, and I didn't want it to be un-regular. I just got back from school, end of the week, I think I'm gonna call today "Update Friday" and today can be the day I update my blog. I might do it on other days too, I'll see.
So welcome to Update Friday.
I'm feeling pretty good. Glad the week is over, but I say that every friday. I'm redecorating my room at the moment, and the new carpet came today, I love it ^_^. It's so soft and springy underfoot! Anyway, If you would like to check out my room, I have some early photos of it, although, they are a tad outdated. Here's the Flickr Link. The walls are two shades of green, and have that nice wall paper on too. Heh! The carpet is a nice dark grey/black too...looks rather nice.

I think I can explain to you now why the title of the post is "Blood Brothers". It's not because I have been listening to Papa Roach a lot, although I must say, that is a good song, I think I'll play it. There we go. Anyway, yes. This week, well, Wednesday - Saturday, I am working on the play version of Blood Brothers, at the local theatre I work at. I'm running the lighting desk, and tonight is my first time, on my own. It'll be an experience I'm sure, I mean, I've run it before, I ran it last night, but the lighting director was there with me, so it wasn't so bad. Wish me luck anyway, but I'm not too bothered, it's just pressing that nice blue "Go" button at the right time! For those who don't know, here is a brief outline of the play, given by Google Books, "Blood Brothers tells the tale of twin brothers, born into a large working-class family and the consequences of one of them being adopted by a neighbouring middle-class family. This play looks at the differences and conflicts of their upbringings, their relationships with each other, and with their real and adopted mothers."

Anyway, that's about it for my week. Although I'm not going to leave you without a rant, and surprisingly enough, this one just happens to be about driving, which I think I mentioned last time! Slow drivers annoy me. Particularly when going to the theatre. It happened last night, there is a nice back country road to get to where I want to go, and on most parts of the road, 60 mph is viable, but it bugs me when drivers go down there, and then, because it's dark[ish], are scared, and don't go above 30. I mean seriously! If you are that scared, take the main road.

So there we have to folks, got a busy few weeks ahead of me, and I might try to post before next Friday.

Let the Quick Brown Fox roam!

The Quick Brown Fox

The quick brown FOX jumped over the lazy dog.
Hmm...yep. He sure did. Or is it even a she.

Before you ask, this blog is just about stuff, which I think all blogs start out about, and this is no different, just random crap that amuses me, or annoys me, or I want to tell people about.

I wont be posting up pictures, well not many anyway. There's a nice fox for you. I wonder if he/she is quick, and how brown they actually are. And I wonder if foxes can be confused. I mean, we get confused, by simple things, many people get confused by road signs. I mean when it says "50" [mph cause I am british of course], you don't drive at 3o, it's a limit, use it!

And there we have it, a perfect example of my blog. Just stuff and people who annoy me. Another example which links into this, which I found on facebook the other day; a group called "I secretly want to punch slow people in the back of the head". I though that was appropriate. Granted if you are physically handicapped, then by all means move slowly, but if you are a normal joe like me, just walk at a decent speed! Is it that much to ask?

I might talk about religion to a bit. I'm an atheist. I don't care what you think. Just, don't bug me about your God/High Emperor/Deity, you wont change what I think.

I'm also a Mac Freak. And I know it. But I don't care. I have 2 iPods, and a MacBook. And follow nearly everything Apple. Heh, my second tab in Safari is always Digg / Apple / Upcoming. Heh.
So Apple might feature in my blog a lot. Apple news I have views on for example.

Anyway, I doubt anyone will actually read this like a proper blog. But hey! I can still rant about what I think. I read somewhere that 2 weeks of regular blogging actually makes people happier! I mean, what can be better than being less depressed and moany. But I still will be. Don't worry folks ;)

Laters for now!
Chris
